Travelogue of a cycloholic : Dharwad 2 Dhanushkodi by Team Kali

It's been a week since we embarked on this momentous expedition. It's only after a couple of days of its culmination that the enormity of what we did is really seeping in !

Adventure is the heartbeat of the extraordinary, the pulse that drives us to explore the unknown and embrace the unfamiliar. When we started on 24th morning we never expected this journey to affect us so profoundly and leave indelible memories in our minds.

Day 1 was the most critical of the entire journey where we got a hang of the concept & slowly got an understanding of things to expect. The first leg went like a breeze with adrenaline rush & freshness in our legs. It was the second leg ( Motebennur to Chitradurga) which was the most grueling of all segments with heavy head winds & blazing sun.

But then, our riders braved the conditions & finished the ride albeit with great tiredness!

The next segments were relatively easier especially as we entered Tamil Nadu because of the flatter terrains & favorable winds.

Riding into Bangalore was quite an unforgettable experience as we had never seen traffic-less roads here & we rode our bikes like we owned the roads ! The climate was biting cold & we really felt it at the end of the ride !

Riding through the night ( for two consecutive nights ) was indeed something new & challenging for us all & we realized that our bodies have infinite strength & resilience & could handle it albeit with little discomfort 😜

The ride on Pamban bridge & the ride from Rameshwaram to Dhanushkodi were really pleasurable & will forever be etched in our memories!

A special mention about the two ladies in the group- Take a bow, ladies, you are inspirational!!

Adventure travel is as much about the internal journey as it is about the external one. It is about pushing boundaries, overcoming fears, and finding strength in the face of adversity. It is about the moments of awe when riding through a dark night totally tired, with no one around yet battling through or the serenity of a sunrise in a remote village.... These experiences shape us, leaving indelible marks on our souls and broadening our perspectives.

I am greatly appreciative of HBC & organizing team of EIOB for arranging this expedition & executing it to perfection. You guys rock !

I thank my team-mates Kamal & Honnappa for being ideal team players always having my back in extreme circumstances !

A big thanks to all the participants in this event for making the journey memorable & keeping up the spirits all along the way !

Next event by team EIOB?

BRING IT ON !!
