Paris Brest Paris - PBP
Paris–Brest–Paris (PBP) is a long-distance cycling event. It was originally a 1,200 km bicycle race from Paris to Brest and back to Paris in 1891. This event is held once in 4 years Total 1200 Kilometers to be completed within 90 hours of Time Frame. Minimum Criteria for the qualification of Paris-Brest-Paris Event is 1200 KM or 1000 KM or Super Randonneur ( This title will be earned when a rider completes 200 KM, 300 KM, 400 Km and 600 KM Ride within 13.5 Hours, 20 Hours, 27 Hours and 40 Hours)
First time from Hubballi Bicycle Club and from North Karnataka 2 Riders Shettappa Pirangi and Er Gulzar Ahmed from Hubballi Bicycle Club participated in this event which was held from August 20th to 24th, 2023 and completed 1200 Kilometers ride with 12000 m Elevation.
Shettappa Pirangi Time Frame was 88 Hours 14 Minutes and 31 Seconds whereas Er Gulzar Ahmed Time Frme was 88 Hours 47 Minutes and 59 Seconds.
These 2 Riders from Hubballi Bicycle Club have set one more Benchmark for the cyclists of the Twin City.
