My Dream Ride - Dhanushkodi

Ever since I became Super Randonneur (SR) by continuously completing the BRMs there was in my mind to reach the end point of the country either East ,West,South or North .

The day D2D - Dharwad 2 Dhanushkodi (D2D) ride was announced my mind and heart immediately reacted within 2 sec . YES!!! This is it. Go for it 💪🏻.

The Event D2D

Briefing about the event D2D by organisers in Hoyasala Hotel, Dharwad kick started the journey how it will happen how we will ride . But the doubts were cleared to all members by the Team HBC.

The Teams - Netravati &Tunga representing Venugram Cycling Club (VCC) , Belgaum.

A unique teams with two strong women's 💪🏻.(Shraddha Mam & Padmaja Mam) A energetic Bhaskar sir , a calm , composed Abhinandan sir . Young and dynamic Raju sir and myself. Gr8 fun-filled practice rides within serene Belgaum area made it ready for teams to kick start the D2D.

The Journey - D2D - Dharwad 2 Dhanushkodi.

Day -1 Dharwad to Sira

1st Leg - Dharwad to Motebennur kicked off with full energy all riders enjoying pleasant climate .

2nd Leg - Motebennur to Chitrdurga

Tested the riders with head wind , heat and sun scorching 🥵 (38 degrees) over the head to make it difficult to ride.

3rd Leg - Chitradurga to Sira

Energetic riders with two women's kicked off to reach the final point sira .

Day -2

Sira to Nammakal

4th Leg - Sira to Bengaluru

Riders rode through the night in a very chilled (9 degrees)climate making them to shiver 🥶 to reach Bengaluru. In Bengaluru - Vidhaan Soudha Happy teams enjoying the photo session .

5th Leg - Bengaluru to Periyampatti

Exhausted with ride on hot climate on day -1 . On Day-2 riders were all strong to reach Periyampatti taking the advantage of much lesser elevation than yesterday passing through serene route via Krishnagiri.

6th Leg - Periyampatti to Selam

Strong women's made it through the sunny ☀️ 🌞 day with hot climate and rode strong to reach few kms beyond salem.

7th Leg - Salem to Thiruvasi

Riders rode like a race to reach the destination in dark night like ghost riders . 👻.

8th Leg - Night ride from Thiruvasi to Karaikudi .

Riders rode in group enjoyed the ride with chit chats, talks to pass the night with a sun rise in Karaikudi.

9th Leg - Karaikudi to Ramanathapuram.

Strong riders rode through the scenic beauty of Tamilnadu with flag hoisting 🇮🇳. On a republic day .

Last Leg - All riders ready to set the road on fire. Teams were strongly build and bond together like a fevicol and rode like a chain one behind the other enjoying the Pamban Bridge to Reach Rameshwaram. The ride to destination was unforgettable. All were enjoying , Dancing in the world of achievement thier goals and grown more confident.

The most enjoyable thing was trying to take rest in car and waiting in ⛽ pump stations.

Epic Ride - Rameshwaram to Dhanushkodi.

To make history 10 Teams representing one group under EIOB finished the ride to reach Dhanushkodi to thrive just like a bow 🏹 bow with arrow and with a Bulls eye shot there it was the beauty of last land on India - Dhanushkodi. History was made on these days which will be cherishable and a day to remember that we did it 💪🏻.

All passionate cyclists irrespective of their professions came together as one common point The cyclist to make the dream come true . To reach higher goals and to set new targets to make ourself proud.

With this I Thank all riders representing the teams . Let's repeat the history again and again setting a benchmark and motivating cycling enthusiasts. Let's grow stronger and bigger.
